Jon Bones Jones in court

After another run-in with police, Jon “Bones” Jones was booked into jail and appeared in court on Thursday.

Jones was booked into jail on Tuesday, charged with violating his probation

If the court finds that Jones did break the rules, his probation officer is recommending that Jones take a driver improvement course, have a curfew that would keep him home from 10 p.m.- 4 a.m. unless he has work commitments, and that he take an anger management class, according to court documents obtained by KRQE News 13.

In court, a judge ruled in favor of all of the new probation conditions except for the requirement of a curfew. However, the judge ruled that Jones be required to get his probation officer’s permission before traveling.

Jones’ court appearance followed the release of Albuquerque Police lapel video that showed what happened when an officer slapped Jones with five citations, including for drag racing and exhibition driving.

That last suggestion is in response to the way he was caught on camera talking to the APD officer.

“I can’t f***ing believe you. You’re ridiculous,” Jones said.

“Just doing my job,” the officer responded.

“No, you’re not doing your job,” he said. “You’re f***in’ picking me, this Corvette out for no reason and blaming me for all this sh** that you know isn’t true. You’re ridiculous. I used to f***ing, I used to really respect (inaudible) f***ers like you.”

Jones later said he regretted how he spoke to that officer, but denied that he was drag racing or breaking any laws.

The incident happened just one day after Jones told a judge that he would stay out of trouble after racking up a handful of other traffic citations.

Jones was previously sentenced to 18-months probation following a 2015 hit-and-run crash.
