In one instance, the burglars snatched a set of car keys from a home and took the owner’s 1998 Lexus for a joyride, according to police. In another, they snagged just $8 before running off.
The burglars struck in the early hours, mostly targeting homes in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, within a few blocks of McCarren Park.
The break-ins began Feb. 19, with the most recent one taking place March 22 at a home near Jackson and Manhattan Aves.
The burglars have mostly struck homes within a few blocks of McCarren Park, with the spree taking place between Feb. 19 and March 22.
Police are asking the public’s help finding two men for questioning in the spree and have released subway surveillance photos taken after a March 12 break-in at Court and West Ninth Sts. in Carroll Gardens.
